FATHER'S DAY BREAKFAST MENU

The Grove Full English – 10.25

Juicy Cumberland sausages, bacon, free range poached, scrambled or fried egg, rosti, baked beans, mushrooms, grilled tomato & thick toast

 

(V) The Grove Vegetarian – 10.00

Toasted granary bread topped with house hummus, avocado, halloumi & a poached egg.  Finished with a dollop of harissa spiced tomato & coriander relish

 

(V) Sweetcorn fritters – 8.50

With wilted spinach, slow roast tomato, crushed avocado, poached egg & crème fraiche (Add streaky bacon or chorizo – 1.80)

 

Buttermilk Pancakes – 7.25

Served with smoked streaky bacon, fried egg & maple syrup OR with berry preserve, Greek yoghurt & maple syrup

 

Smoked Salmon & Eggs – 8.50

Scrambled free range eggs & Scottish Smoked salmon on granary toast topped with wild rocket & basil oil

 

(V) L-O-S Huevos Rancheros – 8.00

Warm soft flour tortilla topped with salsa, avocado, Jack cheese & two fried eggs.  Why not add chorizo? (add 1.80)

STARTERS

Smoked chicken & bacon Caesar salad with warm croutons

(V) Roasted butternut squash, coconut & coriander soup

Chorizo cooked in red wine with caramelised onions & toasted flatbread

Leek & gruyere tartlet with wild rocket

Seafood cocktail (prawns, crab & crayfish) with spiced Marie Rose dressing & warm roll

 

MAINS

Golden pork belly with black pudding

 parmentier potatoes, spiced red cabbage & apple sauce

 

Crusted fillet of hake

On crushed new potatoes, shallots & fennel.  Topped with a lemon, tomato & herb sauce

 

(V) Singapore Rice *

Spiced rice with cumin, turmeric & coriander topped with stir-fry vegetables. * Also available with chicken.

 

Chop Salad

Warm chicken, bacon, creamy stilton, avocado, red onions & cherry tomatoes.  On mixed leaf salad with our special extra virgin olive oil & balsamic dressing 

 

Bobotie 

A classic South African dish with minced lamb and spices with a fruity touch & a white sauce topping. Served with rice & tomato sambal

 

 (V) Freekeh Salad*

Butternut squash, warm goat’s cheese & caramelised onions with pomegranate, mint, mixed leaf & a balsamic & honey dressing  * Similar to bulgur wheat

 

(V) Spicy Bean Stack 

Served on a portobello mushroom with chilli mayo topped with jack cheese & house slaw on a bed of dressed mixed leaf

In a toasted pretzel bun with jack cheese, our special burger sauce, gherkins, red onion, lettuce & tomato
